A few months ago, I threw a Favorite Things party. You find your favorite thing (as long as it costs under 5 bucks) and bring five of them. Then you draw names with the other people who are at the party, and you end up with five of other people’s favorite things.
I found a Pinterest DIY project of an adorable wreath that the lady made for less than five dollars.
Turns out that she had the fabric, the wreath, and the feather already so . . . this was more like ten dollars per wreath but the adorableness of it totally makes up for it.
It’s also worth noting here that wreaths are not one of my favorite things. In fact, I think I’ve only owned one wreath in my entire life. Sooo . . . technically I violated the rules of my own party.
I should have gotten them some chicken salad or big Ford F-150s or chocolate milk or county fairs or goat cheese. THOSE are a few of my favorite things.
But the ladies liked the wreaths.
And I loved the feathers.
And I do sort of have an addiction to turquoise.
So if any of my family members have a birthday/anniversary/anything-ever in the next few months, just know that you’re going to get a wreath. With a lot of feathers. And turquoise. And maybe some chicken salad.
I think we’re beginning to see a pattern here.
